COST SAVINGS - RE-CYCLE TONER/REFILL INK

Yes, true manufacturers will not honor the warranty. So, do it after the warranty period.  Depending on the circumstances, it maybe worthwhile to forgo the warranty.  For example, at one time, we need to print large quantity of color documents. Original ink cost us about S$60,000.  Later we tested recycle ink and most machines worked fine. It could have saved us S$20,000 if we have taken the alternative and transfer this savings to customers.  Please note that you have to use reliable refills, otherwise your machine will be easily damaged. Another issue that you may wish to take note is that some machines recognized re-cycle cartridges, so will give you some irritating messages. 


COST SAVINGS - SKYPE

It is an extremely useful communication tool. Not only it allows you to do voice conference, downloading "ad-ons" or "extras" allows you to do collaborative meetings. For example, YugmaSE allows you to do demo with 11 invited guests. They can see or even participate on what you are doing on your desktop.


LIFE SAVING - BACKUP DRIVES

Nowadays backup drives cost only a fraction, it pays to do a little work especially for small companies that do not have any regular IT health check. Depending on your office budget and configuration, an USB 250GB drive cost only about US$100. It is definitely worth the investment. Network drives cost a bit more but is definitely more efficient. But whatever the case, BACKUP your data!!!. 

FREEWARE
There are quite a few softwares are that are either free or at a fraction of the cost of the popular brands. The problem is that most companies do not have the time to evaluate which is most useful for them whilst some are not commercially viable.  We have done some homework and can offer some recommendations.
