Objective Of The Marketing Club
Let's Learn, Network, Share & Be More Effective & Efficient ....
Nobody is perfect
and everyone has limited knowledge and experiences. There are always
things that we can learn from each other. Therefore, networking is important.
If one venture into new territories (country or new marketing programs),
it will be good if we have someone to ask for information. We cant
ask if we have no one or no place to ask.
The history :
A marketing club was informally formed in Singapore in early 1998 where
we gathered some marketing people from various fields. Meetings
was help in various places like restaurants, pubs as we have no fixed
place or sponsors. As most of the members oversee the region,
and in order to expand, we have started to form similar informal groups
in Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Philippines. The marketing
groups in the various countries were to mirror the discussions held
in Singapore and provide other support. We were looking for
similar groups in Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea and Japan to
join.
This site was meant
for all personnel that are involved marketing and we hope to cover as
many topics as possible that will assist you in your work. It should act
as a one-stop library and relevant links to other sites.
We were hoping to attract
a minimum of 500 members from each country in Asia Pacific and ultimately
500,000 members worldwide by year 2005. This did not happen as it
prove to be to tall a task for our company. We have less than 1,000
associate members and therefore decided to close the club.
Limitations
As with all sites,
we need support to make it work. We hope members can contribute
ideas, articles and advertisements. With sufficient funds, we
will be able to improve on the facilities of this site. Due to
legal issues and resources, we will run the site as a directory.
