
Cybermarketing Definition:
Cybermarketing = Internet Marketing. The basic definition is - "Getting Crowd 2 The Website Through The Net". The website can be an idea, product, service or portal. A good idea or product must be communicated through marketing otherwise who knows of it's existence. As the product is placed on the net, naturally a portion of the marketing program should be placed on the net. The crowd are the internet surfers which could be both current and potential customers. Getting the right target group of surfers is a complicated and tedious process.
Why is cybermarketing different from the traditional marketing and what are some of the problems?
1) Cybermarketing is not only a marketing process or technique, it also involves technologies that are ever-changing.
2) Cybermarketing incorporates technologies driving the internet and many marketing people are not trained to handle technologies.
3) Those that are trained on technologies are not marketing attuned
4) All cybermarketing staff must always be constantly be updated with the latest development and technologies. Otherwise they will be lost in cyberspace - it has been said that 1 day on the internet is equivalent to 1 week or even 1 month of our normal work time
5) Even dot com companies are unfamiliar with many cybermarketing processes.
